Thirwood's Social and Physical Activities Program is structured to promote independence and help keep residents active and stimulated, and all residents of the Assisted Living Community are encouraged to participate on a regular basis.

Thirwood's Social Activities Director coordinates and supervises a wide variety of events geared towards intellectual, cultural and recreational stimulation. Scheduled concerts, plays, movies lectures and more are held in Thirwood Place's Kingsbury Hall Auditorium.

In addition to social activities, Thirwood Place will provide scheduled physical activities each week. The Director of Physical Activities leads groups in armchair exercises, walks, and stretching classes all tailored to the abilities of each individual resident.

The entire social and physical activities program is structured to promote independence and preserve individual dignity.
