The goal of the Assisted Living Community at Thirwood Place is to provide an environment where each resident has the opportunity to maximize his or her independence and get the most out of each day. Our qualified staff of nurses and certified home health aides lend whatever physical assistance may be needed in the activities of daily living.

Assisted Living at Thirwood Place Includes:

• Overall supervision by the Cape Cod Hospital and our Medical Director
• Registered Nurse & Assisted Living Director
• 24 hour security and emergency services
• Emergency call system & daily check-in system
• Three meals daily in our pondfront dining room
• Dietary services
• Weekly housekeeping & linen services
• Local transportation
• Physical assistance with daily living activities available 24 hours a day
• Scheduling and coordination of medical appointments
• Coordination of health care needs with the Cape Cod Hospital, Visiting Nurse Association or other licensed providers
• Pharmacy services & area skilled nursing centers
• Supervised social & physical activities

Other services such as bill paying, check writing, shopping, personal laundry and cooking can be arranged through private duty Home Companions or Homemakers on a fee-for-service basis.
